San Juan Island

Leaning over this small aircraft is my longtime friend and photo assistant Rick Baird chatting it up with new good buddy Jim Smith. Jim owns The Island Lodge on San Juan Island and was our most congenial host. On this day he took us aloft and I had a first opportunity to singly control a small airplane. I'm hooked, thanks Jim!
