Sharon (Colorado June 1968)

During the summer of 1968, June to be precise, my college chum Peter Pizzitola and I decided it was high time to visit sunny California. This was the period on the heels of the infamous "Summer of Love" and we were the East Coast contingent on a blithe mission to meet our "coastal cousins."

I was one year out of college and I took a respectable "career" job working in corporate sales distributing yard goods to large chain accounts. I was also a liberal arts grad who had absolutely no idea as to what to really  do with the rest of his life.

My employer Wamsutta Mills allowed a two week vacation and off we went in Peter's '64 Buick. Somewhere along the way we met and camped out with lovely Sharon (pictured above) and her friend Liz.
